On August 20, the ridgepole celebration was celebrated for the SIA “PK serviss” site – two production buildings of JSC “Dobeles dzirnavnieks” for the production of pasta and BIO cereal flakes.
JSC “Dobeles dzirnavnieks” continues to implement the development plans launched in 2019 to expand production, with investments in the amount of 30 million euro. The new plants will allow JSC “Dobeles dzirnavnieks” to become the largest full-cycle biological grain production company in the Baltics, as well as to strengthen its position as the largest pasta producer in Northern Europe by opening a new, innovative pasta production plant. The newly created infrastructure of JSC “Dobeles dzirnavnieks” will contribute to the production and processing of BIO grains in Latvia, contributing significantly to exports of high value added products and enabling Latvia to take a competitive position in the global market for organic products.
The building construction uses a sliding template technology that allows the building construction to be carried out more securely and quickly. Traditionally, the ridgepole celebration marks the completion of the construction phase – the building framework has been constructed and roof structures have been assembled. The ridgepole celebration is one of the most beautiful moments in every construction process – with the finishing of the roof structures the overall look of the building takes form, so for the builders the ridgepole celebration is always a special event. The ridgepole celebration is a moment when the owners of the building and the contractors of the construction work commend the designers, building supervisors and builders for the hard work they have done so far. At the very highest point of the building the builders hang a wreath which signifies a good relationship between owners of the building and builders, and symbolizes security for the new building, while the owners, in gratitude to the builders, set the celebration table.
